YANOS became the winner of the «Leader of Environmental Activity in Russia» competition

The enterprise was awarded a diploma in the category "Environmental management and waste management in industry".
PJSC "Slavneft-YANOS" entered the register of winners of the XVI All-Russian competition "Leader of Environmental Activity in Russia" the results of which were summed up in Moscow and announced at the international forum "Human Health and Ecology 2020".
For consideration by the public expert commission of the competition, PJSC "Slavneft-YANOS" presented the results of the enterprise's activities aimed at ensuring environmental safety. The plant's strategy in terms of environmental protection is built on the basis of the current environmental management system certified in accordance with the international standard ISO 14001:2015.
The main directions of this work at YANOS are ensuring the compliance of the enterprise's production activities with all norms and requirements of environmental legislation, the introduction of new technologies to reduce the impact on the environment, training and informing personnel on environmental safety issues.
Every year, PJSC «Slavneft-YANOS» allocates significant funds to finance the environmental program. In 2020, the construction and commissioning of the MK-2 wet catalysis unit for hydrogen sulfide utilization was completed which allows increasing the production capacity of the enterprise without harming the environment. Currently, a large-scale project is underway - the transfer of raw materials for hydrogen production units and process furnaces from liquid fuel to more environmentally friendly natural gas. In the process of its implementation, starting from 2017, the consumption of liquid fuel has already been reduced by 68%.
The most important environmental measures implemented at PJSC "Slavneft-YANOS" include: modernization of the flare system, construction of modern stations for leak-proof filling of oil products into railroad and road transport, equipping oil storage tanks with pontoons, reducing water consumption and improving the quality of wastewater treatment.
Separate waste collection is organized at YANOS in order to extract useful components. All newly formed industrial waste is disposed of or sent to specialized companies. In addition, the elimination of historically accumulated oil sludge is proceeding at a faster pace.
PJSC "Slavneft-YANOS" is an active participant in the Yaroslavl city complex target program "Reducing the anthropogenic impact on the environment". In 2008-2020. on the territory of Yaroslavl and the Yaroslavl municipal district, the refinery planted more than 2,000 trees. Additionally, due to social investments of YANOS, green recreation areas of Yaroslavl are being improved in residential areas adjacent to the territory of the enterprise.
YANOS's environmental activities have repeatedly received high assessment from experts at all-Russian competitions. PJSC “Slavneft-YANOS” took part in the competition "Leader of Environmental Activity in Russia" for the third time.
The All-Russian competition "The Leader of Environmental Activity in Russia" has been held since 2005 under the auspices of the specialized committees of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation with the aim of encouraging Russian enterprises and companies for their active work in the field of environmental protection and rational nature management, contributing to the sustainable development of the Russian economy, improving the health of the population and ensuring the country's environmental safety.
