The Young Specialist of YANOS Won the All-Russian Competition "New idea"

The winner of the VI All-Russian competition of scientific and technical developments became the Process Engineer of the Research Laboratory Pavel Ivanov

The competition “New Idea” is held under the guidance of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation among enterprises and organizations of the fuel and energy complex and is aimed at revealing and stimulating the scientific and technical potential of young specialists.

The best scientific and technical project in the section “Hydrocarbon Processing, Coal Chemistry, Petroleum and Gas Chemistry”, in the nomination “Best Innovative Product” based on the results of the contest, was recognized as the project prepared by the Process Engineer of the Research Laboratory of PJSC “Slavneft-YANOS” Pavel Ivanov “Methods for reducing the total sulfur content in commercial MTBE". Earlier, Pavel’s research was also praised by the jury of youth scientific and technical conferences of PJSC “NK “Rosneft” and PJSC “Gazprom Neft”.

The main goal of the project was to identify the causes of the increased sulfur content in one of the components of motor gasolines (MTBE - methyl tert-butyl ether) and to find solutions to reduce it. Measures to optimize the process operation mode of the MTBE Production Unit developed by P. Ivanov were tested and successfully introduced into the process facilities.

The organizing committee of the competition sent to N.V. Karpov, the General Director of PJSC “Slavneft-YANOS” the letter of appreciation. “Thank you for your active position and support for the new ideas of the young employees of your enterprise,” the letter says.
