During four years Slavneft invests over 1.2 bln USD in YaNOS’s upgrading

Within 2011 - 2014, OAO NGK Slavneft plans to invest over 1.2 bln USD in implementation of the OAO Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez (YaNOS) Upgrading Program. YaNOS is the Company's key Refinery.

This year the Slavneft's capital investments in YaNOS's upgrading will make 310 mln USD. In October 2011, the Isomalk, C5-C6 Fractions Isomerization Unit was commissioned within the approved Investment Program. In the near future, the Refinery plans to complete construction of the Cat-Cracked Gasoline Hydrotreatment Unit.

In 2012 - 2014, Slavneft intends to invest over 910 mln USD in revamping the YaNOS's operating production facilities and in constructing the new ones. Within the period specified, OAO Slavneft-Yaroslavnefteorgsintez expects to construct and commission the Diesel Oil Hydrotreatment Unit, Group III Base Oil Production Unit and Diesel Oil Catalytic Dewaxing Block. Moreover, the Refinery plans to revamp a number of the Gasoline Pool facilities, which ensure production of high-quality motor fuels.

OAO NGK Slavneft has been implementing the large-scale YaNOS Upgrading Program for more than 10 years. During 2002 - 2010, the Company invested over 1.5 bln USD in the Refinery's upgrading. Over this period 17 large production facilities, including construction of the up-to-date Deep Oil Processing Plant, were constructed and revamped at the Subsidiary. The Deep Oil Processing Plant consists of the Hydrocracking, Visbreaking and Catalytic Reforming Units. Step-by-step upgrading of the production facilities enabled YaNOS to significantly increase the crude oil processing depth and light oils yield, to greatly enhance the environmental safety (level) and (the) quality of the products manufactured. The Refinery is among the first in Russia, which mastered production of Euro-3 gasoline (2005), Euro-4/ Euro-5 diesel oil (2005 and 2007 respectively). In 2011, YaNOS started production of Euro-4 compliant gasoline. The Subsidiary was ready to fulfill all the requirements set forth in the initial version of the Technical Regulations that was adopted by the RF Government in 2008. That version envisages tighter deadlines for transition to the new quality standards as compared to the revised version.
